Zollner Completes Full Acquisition of Bluechips Microhouse
July 1, 2025 | Zollner Elektronik AGEstimated reading time: 1 minute
Zollner Elektronik AG has successfully finalized its com- plete takeover of Bluechips Microhouse Co., Ltd., in Thailand. In the future the company will operate as part of the Zollner Group of companies under the leadership of Thomas Kiefl – strategically networked, technologically focused and internationally oriented.
With this step, Zollner is actively advancing its global expansion and strategically focusing on three key regions: Europe, North and Latin America and the dynamically growing Asian-Pa- cific region. Through the tight interweaving with existing Asian locations, the company strengthens its presence in the region and continues to expand its resilient, geopolitically di- versified supply chain.
Strategic Networking and Perspectives for Growth
Integration was implemented step-by-step to ensure structure and continuity. Long-term part- nerships with customers and employees are the focus here. Chiang Mai is a central compo- nent of the expanded Zollner production network. Investments in technological renovation have already been initiated covering full-product capabilities in areas such as module and device manufacturing, electronic assemblies, cable assembly and sheet metal processing alongside the construction of a new cleanroom (ISO Class 7) with around 600m2 floor space.
Bluechips is expected to grow significantly as part of our strategy towards 2030 and beyond. Having our Thai facility joining our global manufacturing footprint also offers potential to our existing and also growing customer base, allowing sensible, goal-oriented transfers of pro- duction requirements.
Our Chiang Mai location ideally integrates itself into the strategic orientation of the Group of companies – regarding both the approach to technology and innovation as well as topics re- garding sustainability. Thus, the roof of the new production facility has a photovoltaic system; additionally, solutions are currently being developed to store surplus energy accrued during the day.
Shaping Strengths in Alliance
“Our team in Chiang Mai combines technological excellence with a peerless employee cul- ture – that is more than just an advantage, it is the centerpiece of our organization”, says Thomas Kiefl. “Through our integration into the Zollner Group of companies, we not only strengthen our global production network but also create leeway for development, the ex- change of ideas and collaborative projects.”
Zollner is setting a clear sign with this step: for global thinking, local acting and technological excellence on equal terms.
