Beyond the Rulebook
What happens when the rule book is no longer useful, or worse, was never written in the first place? In today’s fast-moving electronics landscape, we’re increasingly asked to design and build what has no precedent, no proven path, and no tidy checklist to follow. This is where “Design for Invention” begins.
March Madness
From the growing role of AI in design tools to the challenge of managing cumulative tolerances, these articles in this issue examine the technical details, design choices, and manufacturing considerations that determine whether a board works as intended.

Technica USA Hosts ASMPT Management Team for Midyear Business Review
July 22, 2025 | Technica USAEstimated reading time: 2 minutes
Technica USA was pleased to host the management team from ASMPT for a strategic midyear business review at its headquarters in San Jose, California.
ASMPT has been the cornerstone of Technica USA’s expansion in the Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) sector. Since the inception of the partnership 12 years ago, the relationship has grown into a mutually beneficial collaboration, one that has consistently delivered strong results and continues to increase market share within Technica’s territory.
The meeting brought together the Technica PCBA Sales Team and ASMPT management to review recent technological advancements across ASMPT’s product portfolio. The teams also reviewed key accomplishments from the first half of the year, celebrating a strong first half of the year in closed orders and projecting a strong pipeline for continued success through year-end.
Jason Perry, President of Technica USA, commented, “It is always great to get together with our partners like the ASMPT team. The company continues to offer innovative solutions and strategies which generates a lot of excitement within our team to get out and meet with customers to spread the good news. It is an exciting time for both companies, but especially for Technica as we have and will continue to expand our sales force, add strategic product lines and expand our territory coverage to support the customers.”
Technica USA, a subsidiary of Elite Materials Co., Ltd., is working closely with its supply partners in both the PCB Fabrication and PCB Assembly markets to strengthen its sales and service support. In addition to its core business, Technica is actively involved in emerging projects in the printed electronics, substrate and semiconductor packaging sectors. As part of its strategic growth plan, the company is active in adding 10–15 new team members across sales, service, and product management roles.
“We are proud of the longstanding relationship we have built with ASMPT,” added Perry. “Their innovation and team-like support have been instrumental in helping us deliver cutting-edge solutions to our customers in the PCBA market.”
Technica and ASMPT remain committed to working as a team to deliver exceptional value to our customers.
