Federal Electronics Marks 10th Year of ISO 13485 Certification with Successful 2025 Surveillance Audit
August 5, 2025 | Federal ElectronicsEstimated reading time: 1 minute
Federal Electronics, a leader in providing advanced electronic manufacturing services, has successfully completed its 2025 ISO 13485:2016 surveillance audit at the company’s Cranston, Rhode Island facility. The successful audit marks 10 consecutive years of certification to the internationally recognized quality standard for medical device manufacturing.
Federal Electronics first achieved ISO 13485 certification in 2015. Each year since, the company has passed third-party audits verifying compliance with the standard’s requirements, which include traceability, documentation control, risk management, and consistent manufacturing practices. This milestone confirms that the company’s quality management system continues to meet the expectations of medical device customers and regulatory bodies.
“Reaching the 10-year mark with ISO 13485 reflects the strength and stability of our quality system,” said Ed Evangelista, President at Federal Electronics. “We’ve built the structure and discipline necessary to support complex medical assemblies, and we’re able to apply that same control across all the industries we serve.”
Founded in 1961, Federal Electronics provides printed circuit board assembly, electromechanical integration, and system-level builds to OEMs in the medical, military, aerospace, instrumentation, and industrial automation sectors. The company specializes in supporting complex, low- to mid-volume programs that require deep engineering collaboration, end-to-end supply chain management, and reliable process control.
Federal operates out of two manufacturing facilities: its headquarters in Cranston, Rhode Island, and a low-cost region facility in Hermosillo, Mexico. Both locations follow aligned quality and operational systems, enabling customers to leverage flexible sourcing models.
