Beyond the Rulebook
What happens when the rule book is no longer useful, or worse, was never written in the first place? In today’s fast-moving electronics landscape, we’re increasingly asked to design and build what has no precedent, no proven path, and no tidy checklist to follow. This is where “Design for Invention” begins.

Cicor Reports Strong A&D Order Momentum, Expands Global Footprint with Valtronic Site Acquisitions
November 17, 2025 | CicorEstimated reading time: 1 minute
The Cicor Group has secured major new orders from Aerospace & Defence (A&D) customers bringing the year-to-date ratio of new orders to sales (book-to-bill rate) for the whole Cicor Group to 1.09 YTD October (1.04 YTD September). Additionally, Cicor announces that it has completed the acquisition of Valtronic's Morocco and Cleveland (OH, USA) production sites.
During the month of October Cicor has won new contracts from A&D customers of ca. CHF 40 million reflecting the acceleration of program activity in the sector and Cicor's strong market position. Cicor is the European market leader for EMS services to the A&D industry. The new order intakes are broadly distributed amongst Cicor's European locations.
The rearmament of Europe is gaining pace since the beginning of 2024. The resulting contracts from governments to the leading integrators flow down to suppliers such as Cicor with a delay, explaining the growth momentum Cicor now experiences.
The high level of ordering activity positively impacts the book-to-bill rate of Cicor overall that has reached 1.09 YTD at the end of October compared to 1.04 YTD at the end of September 2025. Cicor confirms that the previously communicated annual guidance remains valid in light of recent developments.
The acquired Valtronic sites in Berrechid (Morocco) and Cleveland (Ohio, USA) are specialised in the manufacturing of innovative medical and diagnostic devices. The transaction will add around 220 employees to the Cicor Group and generate additional sales of at least CHF 20 million. It will have no significant impact on the Cicor Group's balance sheet and EBITDA margin.
Through acquiring the Valtronic site in Cleveland, Cicor now has its first production facility in the United States. In addition to continuously serving the existing base of North American customers, this step also meets the demand of Cicor customers for manufacturing in the US.
In Morocco, Cicor is doubling its local production capacity by integrating the Valtronic site, which is located in the same building as a former Éolane site that was also acquired by Cicor. This will enable Cicor to meet significantly growing customer demand already in 2026.
