Neways Acquires Philips Micro Devices

Neways, the global innovator in mission-critical technology for semicon, defense & mobility, and connectivity sectors, is proud to announce the acquisition of Philips Micro Devices, a high-tech business focused on microsystems for the defense, semicon and medical sectors. This acquisition marks an important step in Neways’ strategy to expand its position in highly specialized microelectronics and further accelerates its growth in the defense sector.
Philips Micro Devices is recognized for its advanced microsystems technologies in the defense, semicon and medical sectors. For Neways, this acquisition adds industry-leading customers under long-standing strategic partnerships to its already strong and growing customer portfolio. As part of the transaction, approximately 70 highly skilled employees will transfer to Neways. By combining their capabilities and experience with Neways’ technologies, scale and global footprint, we will be able to accelerate innovation and deliver even more comprehensive solutions to our customers.

The transaction is expected to close early 2026, subject to customary conditions.
