SolderKing Assembly Materials Ltd. has achieved certification to ISO 14001:2015, strengthening its approach to environmental management across its UK manufacturing operations. The certification marks an important step in bringing structured environmental controls into line with quality and production management within the business.
ISO 14001:2015 provides a recognised framework for identifying, managing and reviewing environmental aspects within manufacturing operations. For SolderKing, certification brings greater structure, traceability and accountability to how environmental risks, legal obligations and operational controls are managed, supporting continuous improvement rather than one-off environmental initiatives.
Chris Ward, Chief Operating Officer at SolderKing, said: "Achieving ISO 14001:2015 reinforces our commitment to manufacturing soldering consumables responsibly. It means environmental considerations are built into everyday decisions, from material sourcing and process efficiency to waste management. They are reviewed through defined systems, just as we manage quality and process control. This approach gives our customers confidence in our environmental accountability."
The certification sits alongside SolderKing's existing ISO 9001:2015 quality management certification. The company was also recently awarded an EcoVadis Bronze Medal for the second consecutive year, placing it in the top 35% of companies assessed globally.
As environmental and sustainability requirements continue to increase across electronics manufacturing supply chains, ISO 14001:2015 is widely recognised as a benchmark for responsible manufacturing. Certification supports customers when assessing suppliers against environmental, compliance and sustainability criteria.
All SolderKing soldering consumables are manufactured in the UK, enabling close control over manufacturing processes and management systems. Certification to ISO 14001:2015 further strengthens the company's position as a dependable materials supplier operating to recognised international standards.
