Beyond the Rulebook
What happens when the rule book is no longer useful, or worse, was never written in the first place? In today’s fast-moving electronics landscape, we’re increasingly asked to design and build what has no precedent, no proven path, and no tidy checklist to follow. This is where “Design for Invention” begins.

Technica USA Holds Lunch & Learn for CM Customers
February 23, 2026 | Technica USAEstimated reading time: 2 minutes
On February 18-19, 2026, Technica USA hosted many prominent customers over the 2-day Lunch & Learn Event. The purpose of the event was to provide customers with a preview of APEX 2026 where customers were treated to a boxed lunch and a series of short presentations.
Technica’s president, Jason Perry, kicked off the event informing customers about the booth numbers and locations of all Technica’s supply partners on the show floor. In addition, he provided an overview of the supply partners who would have their equipment on display in Technica’s booth 4024.
Supply partners ASMPT, ESSEMTEC and PARMI, with either bay area presence or planned business in the area during the days of the event, took the opportunity to present what new technology would be featured at the APEX Exhibition.
Perry stated, “We know all our supply partners are working diligently to get prepared for APEX during this time. We were pleased that we were able to provide insight about our presence, as a few of our other supply partners. We know many customers can’t send a lot of the local personnel to APEX so we wanted to provide them with some insight of the technology that would be featured during the exhibition. For those attending APEX, the Lunch and Learn gave them with a preview of what new technology would be featured. Everyone was encouraged to visit all our supply partners booths to observe the advancement of their products.”
Technica took the opportunity to remind everyone about the upcoming TECH DAYS EVENT, scheduled for May 13th & 14th, on the subject of processing PCBs with big BGA requirements. Technica also provided the attendees with a flyer educating them about the PCBAA organization and the work being done in Washington D.C. advocating on behalf of PCB manufacturing in the the United States. Everyone was encouraged to visit the website and consider becoming a member to make the PCBAA’s voice louder and stronger.
A list of Technica's partners at APEX EXPO can be found in the latest issue of SMT007 Magazine. To learn more about Technica, visit them on the show floor in booth 4024.
