Foxconn Technology Group, the world's largest technology manufacturer and service provider, held a rotating CEO handover ceremony this week. Yang Chiu-Chin, the park director, completed her second term as rotating CEO, and Chiang Chi-Heng, general manager of Foxconn Business Group, took over as the new rotating CEO, effective April 1. This handover symbolizes the maturity and stability of Foxconn's senior CEO team training system and is also an important milestone for the group towards institutionalized operation and expert-based governance.
After officially stepping down as rotating CEO, Yang Qiujin stated at the handover ceremony, "The rotating CEO system is not just about job rotation but also a very important step in the institutionalization of the group's governance capabilities." She pointed out that through this system, "core senior executives can gain the perspective of an operator, and the valuable experience of the rotation is not only present in individuals but is also precipitated into a replicable methodology, thereby forming a long-term stable operating system."
During her tenure as rotating CEO, Yang Chiu-Chin focused on operational rhythm and governance advancement, driving cross-departmental collaboration and the implementation of key projects, thereby strengthening the group's overall operational efficiency and execution. Her leadership achievements have also received international recognition, including being selected as one of Fortune's "Asia's Most Powerful Women" and being named one of Manufacturing Digital's "Top 10: Women in Manufacturing" in March 2026. She has also received the China Software Industry Association 's Golden Ripple Award for Women in Technology.
The results not only demonstrate its operational capabilities but also reflect the value of the rotating CEO system in cultivating high-level managers with practical driving force and overall business vision, further strengthening the foundation of the group's institutionalized operation.
At the handover ceremony, Foxconn Technology Group Chairman Liu Yangwei expressed his special gratitude to Yang Qiujin for her contributions to the group over the past year. He emphasized, " The core of the CEO senior executive training lies in hands-on participation and practically solving operational and management problems. We continuously strengthen the group's operational structure through a 'debugging ' mindset and the construction of a methodology , allowing talent development and system establishment to proceed in parallel." The continued promotion of the rotating CEO system demonstrates the group's ability to ensure stable operation and sustainable growth under its global layout by cultivating talent and innovating systems in the face of the challenges of the AI era.
Upon assuming the role of rotating CEO , Chiang Chi-heng stated, "Taking on this position is a heavy responsibility." He pointed out that the past two years of rotating CEO operations have clarified the group's governance model, deepened the interaction between business units and central units, and clarified the future corporate governance development path, laying a solid foundation for the group's system.
Regarding his upcoming year-long term, Chiang Chi-heng outlined two core directions: "First, leverage the advantages of our background in a business unit to excel as CEO, assist the company in expanding its operations, and substantially improve profitability. Second, continuously refine corporate governance, build an expert team, and dedicate the next year to constructing a complete and systematic know-how , focusing on the actual needs of business units and maintaining global leading competitiveness through resource adjustments and precise risk control."
Chiang Chi-heng was born in Taiwan in 1966. He graduated from Claremont Graduate University in the United States with a master's degree in Human Resource Development and Organizational Strategy Management. He joined Foxconn Technology Group in 1999 and was initially stationed in California, USA, in the early 2000s to be responsible for the group's personal computer-related business. After 2005, he served as the chief coordinator for key client business. He has served as the general manager of the business group since 2021.
