SOMACIS Group announces the creation of a new integrated practice combining the expertise of Dyconex AG and AIRMEDTEC Korea Co., Ltd. and AIRMEDTEC GmbH, both known as highly specialized partners for advanced interconnect solutions, into a unified MedTech Business Unit, establishing an integrated operational structure dedicated to high-reliability medical technology applications, effective already since Q2 2026.
Following the acquisition of DYCONEX in 2024 and AIRMEDTEC in 2025, SOMACIS Group is integrating its medical technology activities under a new operating model designed to strengthen specialization, leverage a multi-site approach, and support the increasing technological demands of the global MedTech companies.
“The creation of a unified MedTech Business Unit marks an important milestone in the strategic development of the SOMACIS Group,” said Giovanni Tridenti, CEO of SOMACIS Group. “DYCONEX and AIRMEDTEC each bring strong technological expertise and proven capabilities for supporting highly demanding medical applications. By aligning both organizations, we establish a dedicated Business Unit that enhances the value generation for our customers in the global medical technology market.”
The newly formed MedTech Business Unit of the SOMACIS Group operates state-of-the-art manufacturing sites in South Korea and Switzerland and supports customers in medical markets and companies with other technically challenging applications, requiring controlled manufacturing processes and high reliability standards. Both production sites operate according to established industry standards up to IPC Class 3 requirements.
The customers benefit from ongoing research and development activities, including in-house engineering expertise and collaborations with universities, research institutes, and specialized technology partners to continuously advance manufacturing processes and PCB technologies for next-generation electronic devices.
The MedTech Business Unit will utilize DYCONEX as its primary brand for external marketing activities and market positioning. The legal entities AIRMEDTEC GmbH (Austria), AIRMEDTEC Korea Co. Ltd (South Korea), and Dyconex AG (Switzerland) will remain fully unchanged. All existing contracts, commercial interactions, and ongoing business arrangements will continue as established, with no modifications to current legal or structural relationships.
As part of the organizational alignment, both companies operate under the leadership of Dr. Hubert Zimmermann, CEO of the MedTech Business Unit.
“By coordinating development, engineering, sales, and customer service as well as operational and process capabilities across both organizations, we can leverage our combined expertise more efficiently. Our customers will benefit from enhanced technological support, reliability, and long-term manufacturing stability,” said Dr. Hubert Zimmermann.
The MedTech Business Unit reflects SOMACIS Group’s long-term commitment to the medical technology sector and establishes a dedicated organization focused on supporting OEMs and technology leaders in highly regulated and performance-critical applications worldwide.
