Mobix Labs, Inc., a U.S.-based provider of advanced electronic components and connectivity solutions for aerospace, defense and mission-critical applications, announced that it has secured its initial production order for components supporting the F-16 Fighting Falcon, one of the most widely operated frontline fighters in the U.S. Air Force.
The order was placed by a veteran-owned U.S. aerospace sustainment contractor supporting the Air Force F-16 fleet and consists of EMI-filtered connectors manufactured by Mobix Labs’ EMI Solutions unit at its military-approved facility in Irvine, California.
Initial shipments have already been delivered, with the balance of the order scheduled for delivery in the coming weeks.
The F-16 component order adds another major U.S. fighter platform to Mobix Labs’ growing defense and aerospace footprint. The new production order follows the Company’s previously announced expansion supporting the F-22 Raptor program, with component orders increasing approximately five-fold over prior activity.

America’s Workhorse Fighter
The F-16 Fighting Falcon has served as a cornerstone of American and allied airpower for decades and remains one of the largest fighter fleets in U.S. service, operating across active-duty, Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve units.
The U.S. Air Force’s F-16 Service Life Extension Program extends the service life of upgraded aircraft from an original 8,000-hour service life to as much as 12,000 flight hours, supporting continued operation of portions of the fleet toward 2050. At the same time, new-production F-16 Block 70/72 aircraft continue to be manufactured in the United States for allied air forces.
According to Lockheed Martin, the F-16 program supports approximately 46,000 direct and indirect U.S. jobs and more than 500 suppliers across 41 states.
Positioned in a Long-Duration Sustainment Market
Keeping a large fighter fleet operational for decades requires a continuing supply of qualified, high-reliability components.
Mobix Labs’ EMI-filtered connectors are designed to protect sensitive electronic systems from electromagnetic interference. Modern fighter aircraft depend on tightly integrated radar, communications, navigation, electronic warfare and weapons systems operating in demanding electromagnetic environments where component reliability is critical.
The initial F-16 component order establishes Mobix Labs as a component supplier supporting the F-16 sustainment ecosystem and provides an opportunity to pursue follow-on production demand as the aircraft continues operating for decades.
Building a Growing Fighter Aircraft Footprint
Earlier this year, the Company announced new and increased F-22 orders from two subcontractors, including a new customer relationship and expanded business with an existing partner. Those orders represented approximately a five-fold increase over Mobix Labs’ prior activity supporting the F-22 program.
The Company views its initial F-16 component order as another opportunity to build a long-duration position supporting a major defense platform.
The F-16 joins the F-22 Raptor, F-35 Lightning II and F/A-18 Super Hornet among U.S. fighter aircraft supported by Mobix Labs components. The Company’s broader defense and aerospace portfolio also includes Apache helicopters, U.S. Navy shipboard secure communications systems, missile programs, Gulfstream aircraft and certified onboard systems serving Boeing 737NG aircraft.
