Comtech Wins $4.8M of Orders for MTTS Troposcatter Terminals

Comtech Telecommunications Corp. announced today that its Orlando, Florida-based subsidiary, Comtech Systems, Inc., received orders aggregating $4.8 million for its MTTS Troposcatter terminals, solid-state amplifiers (SSPAs) and associated spare parts. This equipment is slated for use by the U.S. military overseas and is expected to ship in Comtech's fiscal 2016.
At the heart of the MTTS system is Comtech Systems' industry leading CS67500 digital troposcatter modem, which provides the highest data capacity of any troposcatter modem available. The CS67500 modem features turbo code forward error correction, ethernet baseband connectivity with variable rates ranging from 576 kb/s to 50 Mb/s.
