Sparton to Highlight Technologies at DARPA
August 14, 2015 | Sparton Corp.Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
Sparton Corporation technology will be on display at the upcoming Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) "Wait, What Conference" being held in St. Louis from September 9-11, 2015.
DARPA's :Wait, What Conference" is a forum on future technologies, on their potential to radically change how we live and work, and on the opportunities and challenges these technologies will raise within the broadly defined domain of national security. The conference will be attended by forward-thinking scientists, engineers and other innovators.
A DARPA demo dedicated to enhancing maritime agility and the upward falling payload (UFP) program will contain Sparton technology. The UFP program concept centers on a system that will reside on the sea floor and release payloads on-demand to provide a game changing capability to mission commanders.
"Sparton is proud to support the DARPA mission of creating breakthrough technologies that facilitate advances in maritime security," said Jim Lackemacher, Group Vice President, Engineered Components and Products.
