Hitachi Chemical Co., Ltd. announces the completion of merger by absorption with its wholly owned subsidiary Shin-Kobe Electric Machinery Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "SKEM") as scheduled on January 1, 2016. The details of the merger are outlined in Hitachi Chemical`s news release "Notification of Merger by Absorption (Short Form Merger) of Consolidated Subsidiary" on March 23, 2015.
With this merger, SKEM`s energy storage devices/systems and synthetic resin products businesses were integrated with Hitachi Chemical, allowing for centralizing the organizational management of research and development, business planning, and sales for these product lines.
Hitachi Chemical will further strengthen and expand its energy storage devices/systems and synthetic resin products businesses, while continuing to provide products that meet customer needs.
