Industry Veteran George Greene Passes Away

George Greene passed away February 14 in Mesa, Arizona, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 83.
George had been in the PCB industry since its infancy, starting in 1958. He was an expert at servicing any type of laminating press system. He worked on TMP, OEM, Burkle, Lauffer, Wabash, Accudyne, and whatever else was thrown at him.
Many PCB shops contacted George when their systems went down, and he would get their systems back online in no time. He also did extensive work for his son, Mike Engle of ETI West. Constantly seeking out challenges, he worked for a government contractor at the start of the Iraq War, laminating Kevlar vests and sheets to help protect US Army Humvees and tractor trailers from IEDs.
George attended IPC APEX EXPO two years ago and was floored by how far the industry had come in such a short time. His capabilities and pleasant demeanor will be missed by many.
