Nordson ASYMTEK's Dispensing, Conformal Coating Systems on Display at IPC APEX EXPO 2016
March 9, 2016 | Nordson ASYMTEKEstimated reading time: 2 minutes
Nordson ASYMTEK, a Nordson company, introduces its new generation of conformal coating, fluid dispensing, jetting, software, and hot bar soldering systems, capabilities, and applications at IPC APEX 2016, in Booth 1841. The systems deliver precision, flexibility, reliability, high throughput, ease-of-cleaning, and intuitive programming and operation with a low cost-of-ownership. Booth visitors will be able to witness the art of advanced jetting with Nordson ASYMTEK's 2-piece ReadiSet™ Jet Cartridge (click here for video), which is an integrated part of the newest generation of jetting systems: the NexJet® 8 and IntelliJet®.
Also at IPC APEX, Garrett Wong, product manager for Nordson ASYMTEK, will present the paper, A Review of Jetting Technologies for Fluid Dispensing: Identifying the Features that Influence Productivity. Frequency of a jet's speed has been used recently as a measure in today's piezo-electric jet dispensing. Nordson ASYMTEK's research examines the use of frequency in assessing productivity in several fluid dispensing applications and the role it plays in the total dispensing process. The session will be held on March 17, at 10:30 AM, in the Las Vegas Convention Center, Room S22T.
Making its first appearance in the US is the Spectrum™ II Premier with the IntelliJet® jetting system. It dispenses small dot sizes at high frequencies without compromising the precision, high yield, and long-term reliability needed for flip chip underfill and advanced semiconductor packaging applications. The system further advances piezo-jetting technology with long-term reliability 3 to 4 times longer than any other piezo-driven jet. It's leading edge, high-end precision dispensing, in conjunction with automatic calibration features, produce a consistent jetting process across large-scale production lines.
The Quantum dispensing system handles BGA, CSP, underfill, PCBA, dam and fill, encapsulation, potting, dotting, precise coating, and other applications, including those that need dual lanes or action, heaters, height sensors, and a large platform.
The Select Coat SL-940 conformal coating system line that includes a UV oven and automated coating inspection system will also be featured. This proven conformal coating technology adds unmatched flexibility and process controls, such as the triple valve solution. Visitors can try the latest Easy Coat®_6 software live and test out the offline programming features and new user interface.
If you are looking for solutions for reflow soldering, heat seal, and ACF bonding, hot bar products from Nordson DIMA will also be on display.
Nordson ASYMTEK will be in booth 1841 at IPC APEX, Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, NV from March 15-17, 2016. Talk with our fluid dynamics experts. For information or to schedule an appointment, contact Nordson ASYMTEK at info@nordsonasymtek.com, call +1 760-431-1919, or click here.
