Aismalibar Hosts First Annual LED DAY in Barcelona, Spain

Aismalibar proudly hosted the first annual LED DAY at the Reina Sofia Hotel in Barcelona on February 11, 2016. Over 100 industry leaders shared their expertise at the one day technical workshop.
The meeting focused on dissipating heat from the LED to achieve better performance and maximum life from a finished product through the use of IMS (Insulated Metal Substrate). Speakers at the event also shared how to achieve greater brightness and durability in products and gave insight into upcoming EMC and LED legislation and regulation changes. In addition to Aismalibar, LED DAY had presentations by SEOUL semicondutor, INVENTEC, OPTICS LITE, AMS, COOLIANCE and CEMDAL.
Eduardo Benmayor, Director General at Aismalíbar, explained that LED DAY was created with the aim of becoming an annual event bringing together LED manufacturers, OEMs and industry experts to share technical insight and explore potential synergies. He also shared that LED DAY has the potential to expand to additional cities across Europe and North America in the future.

Cavity resonant modes of the metal shielding enclosure can produce two adverse problems: the mutual coupling among different RF modules and shielding effectiveness reduction of the metal enclosure. The cabinets serve to shield certain components from electromagnetic interference (EMI). However, these cavities present some resonance peaks at 5 GHz, making it impossible to use them at higher frequencies.
