Taiwan-based copper clad-laminate (CCL) maker Elite Material (EMC) has reported net profits of NT$595 million ($18.79 million) for the second quarter of 2016, up by 6.86% on quarter and by 24.35% on year, according to Digitimes. For the first half of 2016, net profits totaled NT$1.15 billion, increasing 12.7% from a year earlier. The earnings translated into an EPS of NT$3.63 for the six-month period.
EMC reported earlier that it posted revenues of NT$10.09 billion for the January-June period of 2016, increasing 2.6% from a year earlier. Gross margin stood at 25.45% for the second quarter compared to 23.2% for a year earlier.
