ACDi’s Billy Deavers Earns IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certified IPC Trainer Certification
February 11, 2020 | ACDiEstimated reading time: Less than a minute
ACDi, a leading electronics manufacturing services provider, announces Cable Engineer, Billy Deavers has successfully passed the IPC/WHMA-A-620 Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies Certified IPC Trainer course.
The IPC/WHMA-A-620 standard specifies best practices and requirements for the manufacture of cable, wire and harness assemblies. The standard defines materials, methods, tests and acceptability requirements for producing crimped, mechanically secured and soldered interconnections, and the affiliated assembly activities related with cable and harness assemblies.
“Billy was the natural choice to go through this training given his extensive background manufacturing military and commercial cable and wire harnesses,” said Bill Hornbaker, President and CEO of ACDi. “This certification was crucial for the company as we continue to grow the cable and wire harness business unit.”
Mr. Deavers will be responsible for training operators, technicians and inspectors at both the Frederick, MD headquarters and the Nashville, NC manufacturing plants to the Certified IPC Specialist level. Having personnel trained to this level enables the company to provide the highest quality assemblies for mission-critical systems.
