Solectron Names O'Connor Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Corporate Officer

Milipitas, Calif. -- Solectron Corp. has appointed Kevin O'Connor as senior vice president, worldwide human resources and corporate officer.
O'Connor succeeds Al Cotton, who will retire at the end of this year.
O'Connor is responsible for Solectron's human resources program and infrastructure, supporting both the corporation and its business units. He reports to Koichi Nishimura, Solectron chairman, president and chief executive officer.
Prior to joining Solectron, O'Connor was senior vice president of global human resources for Axcelis Technologies, a semiconductor equipment company. O'Connor also worked in various human resources roles at Iomega Corp., Dell Computer Corp. and Frito-Lay Inc. O'Connor holds a degree in management with an emphasis in industrial relations from Arizona State University.
