UniPixel, Inc., a provider of Performance Engineered Films to the touchscreen and flexible electronics markets, provided an update on a number of projects in which it is collaborating with major PC manufacturers for new devices featuring UniPixel products that could hit the market in 2016 and beyond.
Jeff Hawthorne, president and CEO of UniPixel, commented, "At this early stage of our history as a volume manufacturer and commercial sales organization, I thought it important to update our investors on the progress of a number of projects. Although we have just concluded our second quarter as a focused sales organization, we have made substantial progress in introducing our highly differentiated products to major PC manufacturers in the U.S. and in Asia. They, in turn, have shown great interest in considering our products for their future product offerings.
"While we are not at liberty to specifically identify the OEMs with which we are collaborating, we can confirm that they are amongst the Tier 1 market leaders in their hardware verticals. We are pleased with the ongoing evaluations that our products are going through and believe this will lead to additional production purchase orders in the near term."
