FTG Circuits - Chatsworth California Qualified to MIL- PRF-31032
February 25, 2016 | FTG CircuitsEstimated reading time: 1 minute
The FTG Circuits - Chatsworth California facility (incorporated as FTG Circuits Inc.) has been qualified to the Department of Defense performance specification MIL-PRF-31032/3 (flexible printed wiring boards) and MIL-PRF-31032/4 (flex-rigid printed wiring boards). MIL-PRF-31032 qualification also allows FTG Circuits - Chatsworth to continue to manufacture and certify products to MIL-PRF-50884.
Qualification to these specifications results in FTG Circuits - Chatsworth being listed on the DLA Qualified Manufacturing List (QML) that is used by existing and potential customers to select qualified suppliers of these product types.
The rigorous qualification process included DLA on-site audits, qualification of our testing laboratories, documentation audits, the manufacture of qualification test vehicles and environmental / reliability product testing.
The qualified technical scope allows FTG Circuits - Chatsworth to manufacture and certify high technology (HDI) flex and flex rigid printed wiring boards that contain up to 35 layers, includes micro vias and a variety of surface finishes and other technical attributes. This advanced technical scope positions the site as one of the top two technically qualified flex / rigid flex manufacturers in the world.
"MIL-PRF-31032 qualification is a very important milestone as it not only allows us to capture defense programs; it also demonstrates that FTG Circuits – Chatsworth is committed to continuous improvements in quality and reliability to meet the expectations of FTG’s Defense and Aerospace focused customer base." said Michael Labrador, President of FTG Circuits Inc.
"FTG is committed to Operational Excellence across the Corporation and the continuous improvement of our process controls, reliability and quality systems are an important part of these efforts." stated Brad Bourne, President and Chief Executive Officer of FTG Corporation.
