COT Installs New Production Cell with MAZAK Equipment
August 8, 2017 | COTEstimated reading time: 2 minutes
Count On Tools Inc., a leading provider of precision components and SMT spare parts, is pleased to announce that with the recent expansion of its manufacturing facility, the company has purchased and installed four new MAZAK machining centers to further increase production capabilities and lower product lead times. The new equipment expands COT’s current capabilities into larger diameter parts, including more complex features that can be manufactured with significant costs savings to the end-user. The new equipment includes three new MAZAK HQR-150MSY 9-axis Multi-task Machining Centers and one new Quick-Turn QTU-200MSY 6-axis Multi-task Machining Center.
According to MAZAK, the HQR Series is designed for high volume productivity, featuring simultaneous first and second operations or balanced cutting/milling through its first/second spindles and upper/lower turrets. The HQR machine configuration directly results in part-processing versatility and reduced cycle times among various operations – ranging from chuck work to the machining of large diameter bar stock. The superior designs of the HQR machines ensure high productivity within a compact floor plan.
Unprecedented productivity, precision and operability separate these machines and COT from the competition. The industries that COT serves count on accuracy of part specifications and on-time delivery of orders. The new MAZAK production cell will help Count On Tools achieve both. Additionally, the new machine handles jobs faster by providing increased production speeds and faster processing power.
As a contract manufacturer and job shop, Count On Tools and its experienced, knowledgeable management team strives to provide a full line of services to its customers and to continue meeting customers' demands both now and in the future.
