A.C.T. (USA) Acquired by Jack Gemmell

A.C.T. (USA) Int’l Ltd was acquired by Jack Gemmell in mid-2017. Gemmell, who had served as the company’s vice president of global operations manager since 2006, bought the company from long-time owners Jerry Gerard and Sharlene Edlin.
“All my life I have wanted to own my own company and in 2017 my dream came true as I completed the purchase of this company," said Gemmell. "I would not have been able to take this next step without the full support of the previous ownership and the entire A.C.T. team we have in place. I can’t express how impressed I am with everyone working here. Everyone owns their position and takes every step to support their partners.”
A.C.T. was founded in 1994 by Jerry Gerard and Peter Chiu. They had identified a need to help OEM and CM companies in the US, Canada, and Mexico to offshore quality bare printed circuit boards. A.C.T. would eliminate the headache of qualifying suppliers, auditing process and production while maintaining the high level of domestic customer service. Sharlene Edlin later joined the ownership group and created A.C.T.’s original ISO 9001:2000 procedures and certification. A.C.T. is currently a 9001:2015 registered company.

Robin Hayes Selected to Lead Airbus in North America
