I-Connect007 Editor's Choice: Five Must-Reads for the Week
November 13, 2020 | Nolan Johnson, I-Connect007Estimated reading time: 2 minutes
My last turn to select the top five editor’s picks was just before the triple-threat Halloween holiday (full moon, blue moon, and on a Saturday). Now that it’s my turn again, it falls on the mega-superstitious Friday the 13th. You’re not triskaidekaphobic, are you?
Personally, I don’t hold much stock in the whole Friday the 13th thing, but Hollywood did create a massive movie franchise out of the “Friday the 13th” horror movies aimed at teen and young adult audiences. Study the movies closely, and their allegories encourage teens to make good choices in their lives. The cast members who make bad choices end up with dire consequences.
Conferences are in the news this week. We highlight some of the more prominent events to make you aware of them and to suggest that attending might be a good choice.
Have a great weekend! We’ll catch up with you, and the news, on Monday morning.

As a follow-on to the back-to-back issues in Design007 Magazine exploring application notes and fabrication notes, Andy Shaughnessy hosted a roundtable with contributors and experts to talk more about how to be more successful with these crucial pieces of documentation. What’s clear is that there is plenty to say about improving how a design team’s intent is communicated to manufacturing, and also how a component manufacturer’s advice is passed down to design teams. Hear what the panel has to say here, and check out the previous issues of Design007 Magazine to read more.
