Nordson Welcomes Her Majesty’s Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire to Its UK Headquarters
May 17, 2021 | NordsonEstimated reading time: 2 minutes
Nordson Test & Inspection division, part of the Nordson Corporation, was delighted to welcome Mr. Alexander Boswell, Her Majesty’s Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire for a full tour of its Aylesbury site. During his visit he presented DAGE with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise to Vice President Philip Vere.
This is a prestigious award, and we are proud to be one of only 220 organizations nationally to be recognized in the category of International Trade in April 2020. The pandemic and subsequent restrictions meant the presentation had to be postponed until 2021.
The Vice Lord-Lieutenant toured the production area where Nordson’s Test & Inspection systems are produced, followed by presentations from the Senior Management Team.
In his speech the Vice Lord-Lieutenant commented, “Congratulations to everyone in the company on your Queen's Award for enterprise in the international trade category. The awards provide public recognition for exceptional success in the fields of exports and technology, and it has become the leading accolade for business success in the UK. They recognize management and employees working equally as a team, benefiting not only the enterprise but also their local community, and the nation as a whole. Receiving an award of this sort is testimony to the skills and commitment of all those who work for the enterprise.
It is wonderful that a company such as Dage can be so competitive in the international marketplace. Dage has received this award for a growth of over 50% in overseas sales in the last three years, with one product, the Quadra X-ray inspection system leading the way. This says a great deal about your ability to innovate. About the integrity of your products and the quality of the service you provide. In the case of Nordson Dage this has been achieved by identifying a series of niche markets in which you have innovated and developed your product lines, with an unwavering commitment. Your products are synonymous with precision, quality and personal service.”
Mr. Boswell continued. “I'm told that 185 people work for Nordson Dage in the UK, both here and in Colchester and Southampton. And we should never forget that as much as any other factor, a company's success is built upon the dedication and loyalty of its workforce. So, this Queen’s Award is for everyone who works here. You have all played your part in the growth of this company and may your lives all be enriched by its success. It now gives me the greatest pride and pleasure to present the Queen's Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category, on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen.”
Mani Ahmadi, General Manager of DAGE commented, “We are proud to win this award as a recognition of our growth and success in providing the best test and inspection solutions to our customers. It is a testament to our employees in the UK and all around the world.”
