LITEON Reports Consolidated October Sales of NT$14.59 Billion; Up 5% YoY

LITEON Technology (2301-tw) reported its October consolidated revenue of NT$14.59 billion, remaining stable M-o-M, hitting a second record monthly revenue in 2021; up 5% Y-o-Y, excluding transferred Silitech, which would not be consolidated into LITEON’s financial report starting from 2021. Thanks to the solid demand from its core business, cumulative sales for January to October totaled NT$134.85 billion, up 9% Y-o-Y.
Opto-electronics business contributed a 19% share of total sales, of which, the ongoing demand growth from LED components driven by photocouplers and sensor modules used in 5G, AIoT and green energy applications, coupled with the smooth delivery of high-end Mini LED, supporting a consecutive yearly growth.
Cloud & AIoT business contributed a 31% share of sales, a consecutive record high in 2021.Thanks to delivery growth from high-end datacenter server and networking power management systems for cloud computing, and high-end sever enclosures, Cloud & AIoT posted a growth of around 20% Y-o-Y.
Information Technology & Consumer Electronics business accounted for 50% of sales, of which, the demand growth from Notebook PC power adapters, keyboards and mice, supported a consecutive yearly growth.

When asked if they expected labor costs for hourly workers to rise over the next month, manufacturers in the United States, Mexico, and Europe predicted a five percent increase, while manufacturers in Asia predicted a slightly lower four percent increase.
