PCB Verification Software Improved
May 2, 2007 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
MARLBOROUGH, Mass. DownStream Technologies, LLC, released version 9.5 of its CAM350 software for verifying and optimizing PCBs. Added features and software corrections were requested by the customer base through DownStream's User Advisory Board. Updates reportedly improve intuitive interfacing, design parameters, and licensing.
Version 9.5 AutoImport templates allow users to predefine viewing parameters for Gerber files, including layer types, sequence, and colors. Generic templates are provided in the software. An updated PADS ASCII import interface supports PADS 2007, automatic NC drill layer creation, and silkscreens that closely match Gerber equivalents.
The next generation of ODB++ Import supports CAD Netlist as a reference netlist. Other updates include Microsoft Vista support with FLEX Im version 11.4 and Sentinel Driver 7.3.2 for Vista, One-Up border-to-layer and Panel border-to-layer commands to covert borders to graphics, license borrowing, and various software corrections.
