Brush-and-Valve Dispensing System Reduces Setup
April 18, 2007 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
FAIR LAWN, N.J. I&J Fisnar demonstrated reduced set-up time for conformal coating applications with the I&J7400C Cartesian dispensing robot, comprising a robot-controlled brush and proprietary valve. The brush-and-valve system targets applications sensitive to spray contamination, such as conformal coating on PCB areas surrounding contacts.
The system reportedly reduces set-up time by eliminating protective steps such as covering contacts with cups and dismantling protective covers. It also is said to improve quality, reduce costs, and offer a repeatable process. The I&J7400C Cartesian is the largest model in the series, with a cast-construction base for stability and linear performance across the working area. Its footprint depth is less than 30" for mounting to a standard workbench. The robot is available in 3- or 4-axes options.
