March 26, 2007 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. Delta Group Electronics, Inc., purchased the assets of EMS provider Singletec, Inc., in Sanford, Fla. The operations will be integrated with Delta Group's Rockledge, Fla., facilities.
Singletec provides PCB and electromechanical assembly for cost-efficient, high-quality products for customers throughout Florida. The transaction will enable Delta Group to enhance manufacturing and assembly capabilities on the east coast, said Harry Mueller, president, Delta Group, adding that integration of Singletec and Rockledge will strengthen the company's market position. Over the past two years, Delta Group also bought Frontier Technologies (Calif.) and Assembly Solutions (Texas).
Kurt Storey, president of Signletec, will transition to sales and marketing manager of Florida with Delta Group, reporting to Ron Reef, general manager for southeast operations. Delta Group which offers turnkey EMS services for aerospace, defense, and commercial industries maintains ISO 9001:2000 certification at all facilities. The company plans to consolidate the Florida locations by the end of 2007.
