ISP Services Support CM/OEMs
February 14, 2007 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
CONCORD, Calif. Alliance Support Partners (ASP) launched an ISP program-development service for third-party service providers such as contract manufacturers (CMs) and OEMs. Users of most PC-based test systems and programming stations including Agilent, CheckSum, and Teradyne platforms can incorporate the service.
Outsourcing ISP program development enables assemblers to perform on-board programming during the board-test stage without having to create and implement programming algorithms, said Harold Ng, business development manager. The company suggests that the board-test stage gives assemblers the best opportunity for accurate programming. ASP's device algorithm library contains serial flash/EEPROM devices and complex microprocessors with on-board flash/EEPROM, and supports various programming interfaces.
