iNEMI to Hold Roadmap Workshop at SEMICON Europa
February 27, 2006 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
HERNDON, Va. — The International Electronics Manufacturing Initiative (iNEMI) has scheduled a workshop for its 2007 Roadmap for April 5, 2006, to be held in conjunction with SEMICON Europa in Munich. Co-sponsored by Fraunhofer IZM, IEEE's Components, Packaging, and Manufacturing Technology (CPMT) Society, and IMAPS Europe, the workshop will give attendees a first look at draft chapters of the Roadmap. The workshop will also cover two key market segments and seven of the 19 technology and infrastructure areas outlined in the Roadmap. The session will also allow discussion of, and input into, the draft chapters, helping to ensure inclusion of European issues in the Roadmap.
Registration fee is $200, which includes a continental breakfast, lunch, social hour, and a free copy of the 2007 iNEMI Roadmap CD when published in February 2007 (which will sell for $250). Registration deadline is March 28th, which is subject to change to an earlier date if the meeting reaches capacity.
"Workshop participants will gain early insight into the anticipated future direction of the electronics industry, which can assist with the strategies and investments their companies consider for future technology and supply chain initiatives," says Jeroen Schmits, president of Universal Instruments and a member of iNEMI's Board of Directors.
