Next-gen Handheld Readers Identify DPM Codes
February 1, 2006 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
NATICK, Mass. — Cognex Corp.'s next-generation DataMan 7500 series handheld direct part mark (DPM) readers identify and read all printed and DPM codes for manufacturers implementing part traceability programs in the automotive, aerospace, electronics, healthcare, and defense industries.
DataMan 7500 handheld ID readers mix proprietary IDMax code reading software with a new patent-pending UltraLight illumination technology to read codes regardless of marking method, part material, shape, or surface texture. The series includes the 7500 corded and 7550 cordless models — 7500 supports USB, keyboard wedge, and RS232 communications, and 7550 supports Bluetooth wireless communications. Both readers mix high-performance DSP with a high-resolution (1280 × 1024) image sensor.
