In-line Multi-head Dispenser Handles Six Heads
October 18, 2005 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
IRVINE, Calif. — MIMOT released an in-line dispenser based on its accurate, positive displacement auger valve. The unite features an overall dispense capacity of 40,000 d/h and can be equipped with up to six dispense heads.
Applying up to six dispense heads to a single dispenser offers several benefits; including the ability to mount dispense needles with differing diameters for a range of dot sizes. The system selects the appropriate needle automatically from information in the component library, allowing for seamless PCB production with program variations.
The dispense system uses program patterns from the MIMOT placement system to create an automatic dispense program. Combining the company's dispense unit with its pick-and-place system is said to give users a tool for assembling double-sided PCBs.
