BANNOCKBURN, Ill. — IPC — Association Connecting Electronics Industries has appointed Shane Whiteside, senior vice president and COO of TTM Technologies, as the IPC Board of Directors' newest addition. He fills the empty spot left by Stan Gentry of Noble Industries, Ltd., who resigned in April 2005. Whiteside will complete the two-year term, covering calendar years 2005 and 2006.
"Shane's skills and experience within industry will continue to strengthen the IPC Board and maintain the Board's excellent representation of the PCB and electronics assembly industries," says Denny McGuirk, IPC president. "He has demonstrated superb leadership skills and a strong commitment to this industry."
Prior to joining TTM Technologies, Whiteside served as director of operations at Power Circuits and was previously employed by Technica USA, serving as product manager and in technical sales. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in Economics from the University of California at Irvine.
