VJ Electronix Names Product and Applications Leader

SHIRLEY, Mass. — VJ Electronix, Inc. has recently appointed Al Cabral to lead Product Management and Applications, where he will be responsible for developing new applications and products that meet and exceed global industry demands. He will report directly to Don Naugler, general manager.
For more than 22 years, Cabral has been involved with advanced manufacturing, new product introduction and process and product development in the electronics industry. His expertise includes thru-hole assembly, SMT and semiconductor packaging. Widely recognized as a major contributor to the continuous development and optimization of reflow equipment with an emphasis on lead-free reflow soldering, he has served in engineering, applications and product management. Having also held key technical and management positions with Vitronics Corp. and BTU International, he has extensive hands-on experience with setup and troubleshooting soldering processes worldwide.
