Advanced Circuits CEO Named One of Nation's Best Bosses by Fortune Small Business
September 24, 2004 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
Aurora, Colo. — Advanced Circuits announces that CEO Ron Huston has been named one of the best bosses in the country for his innovative reward-based management practices.
He is among 15 executives from across the country to receive this honor, and one of only six to be featured in Fortune Small Business as a "best boss." Huston's creative management philosophy and extraordinary ability to motivate employees has helped Advanced Circuits create continuous growth in a struggling industry. Huston rewards employees using incentives ranging from $225,000 employee excursions to Las Vegas to company lunches to profit-sharing programs. Fortune Small Business, in conjunction with Winning Workplaces, a non-profit organization that helps small businesses implement successful workplace practices, spent six months searching the nation for the best bosses. Ultimately, they identified 210 nominees that excelled in employee tenure and benefits, and management challenges. Of those, Winning Workplaces chose 35 finalists who were evaluated by a panel of five judges to determine the final 15 winners. Only six executives were featured in Fortune Small Business. This year's Best Bosses award focused on company leaders who motivated employees during the slow economy. At a time when the printed circuit design industry was losing business to overseas manufacturers, Advanced Circuits boasted double-digit growth for seven continuous years. The success has created outstanding employee loyalty and a sense of job security. Since 1989, Advanced Circuits has been a quick-turn printed circuit board manufacturer that specializes in producing quick-turn PCBs. For more information, visit www.4pcb.com.
