Parvus Certified to ISO 9001:2000 Standard
July 12, 2004 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
Salt Lake City — Parvus Corp has been certified to the new ISO 9001:2000 standard.
This achievement marks 11 consecutive years that Parvus has adhered to the globally recognized quality standards of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
For Parvus' recent certification to the ISO 9001:2000 standard, the accredited ISO registrar Eagle Registrations Inc. assessed Parvus' quality system on multiple elements, conducting staff interviews, examining documented procedures and records, and observing real-time work processes at Parvus' headquarters in Salt Lake City. Parvus was initially certified to the ISO 9001:1994 standard in May 1993 and has been audited every six months since that time, including three full recertifications in 1996, 1999 and 2002.
The longest running ISO-certified company headquartered in Utah, Parvus supports its quality management system by performing periodic internal audits, comprehensive training and preventive and corrective activities as necessary. ISO 9001:2000 is an international quality management standard and framework focused on enhancing customer satisfaction and continually improving business performance.
Parvus' commitment to quality also was recently recognized by Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co., which designated Parvus a Quality Select supplier, granting Parvus the authority to perform delegated product acceptance. The recognition by Lockheed came as a result of Parvus' 100 percent quality rating and exceptional schedule performance throughout the past year, during which Parvus manufactured electronic subsystems of the F/A-22 Raptor aircraft for Lockheed.
Parvus uses its ISO 9001:2000 registered quality management system to design and manufacture commercial off the shelf (COTS) electronics hardware and embedded computer systems. Parvus has produced board-level and system-level solutions for the F-15, F-14, EA-6B, E4-B, T-38, P-3, QF-4, B1-B, 737-900, as well as electronics used in medical devices, buses, trains, robotics and hundreds of other applications.
Parvus Corp. is a leading North American manufacturer and systems integrator of modular computer boards, enclosures, displays and embedded systems based on the PC/104 circuit board standard.
