BEST Offers Cable and Wire Harness Training

Rolling Meadows, Ill. — BEST Inc. is offering IPC/WHMA-A-620 training, the industry standard for cable and wire harness fabrication and installation.
IPC/WHMA-A-620 describes acceptability criteria for crimped, mechanically secured and soldered interconnections and the corresponding lacing/restraining criteria. Classes of products are defined and include criteria for Target, Acceptable, Process Indicator and Defect conditions to support the collection of visual quality acceptability requirements for each class. The standard is supported by 500 full-color illustrations.
Classes currently are set for February 9 through 11 and May 24 through 26, 2004, in the BEST training center near Chicago. BEST's mobile training center or customer sites can also be used as the training centers. Operator proficiency training is a three-day program that has 24 instructional hours by instructors with 20-plus years each of instructional training.
