Arlington, Va. — Kilofarad International (KFI) in affiliation with the Electronic Components, Assemblies & Materials Association (ECA) announces KFI's launch as a new trade association formed to promote and represent the global ultracapacitor industry.
The formation of KFI is said to be a critical milestone in the process of establishing ultracapacitors as mainstream energy storage systems for the transportation and power generation industries.
KFI's membership includes like-minded industry stakeholders such as Maxwell Technologies Inc., Delco Remy International Inc., the United States Advanced Battery Consortium (USABC — an umbrella organization of DaimlerChrysler, Ford, General Motors and the US Department of Energy); Delphi Corp. and AeroVironment
KFI will be present at the 13th International Seminar on Double Layer Capacitors and Similar Energy Storage Devices in Deerfield Beach, Fla., December 8 through 10, 2003, and invites attendees to visit its display and inquire how interested parties can participate.
KFI is affiliated with ECA, the electronic components sector of the Electronic Industries Alliance. KFI is directly linked with one of the world's foremost standards-setting bodies, and leverages the expertise and network of the ECA infrastructure. For more information, visit www.kilofarad.com.
