Indium's Lasky to Present at New York SMTA Meeting

Rochester, N.Y. — Ron Lasky, Ph.D., PE, senior technologist at Indium Corp. and visiting professor at Dartmouth College, who also serves as an SMT Advisory Board Member, is the featured speaker at the SMTA Empire Chapter Meeting, held at 6 p.m. on October 9 at Hover-Davis Co.'s facility here.
Lasky's presentation, "Maximizing Productivity in SMT Assembly," will focus on the parameters that can be optimized to maximize SMT assembly productivity. It will cover cycle time, line balancing, minimizing setup time, work in progress time and "floundering" time. Several useful metrics will be discussed to track productivity.
