Benchmark Electronics Reaffirms Guidance for Second Quarter 2003

Angleton, Texas — Benchmark Electronics Inc. continues to expect second quarter 2003 revenues to meet or exceed analyst consensus revenues of $443 million and consensus earnings per share of 44 cents.
The company provided second quarter guidance of $430 million to $450 million, with corresponding earnings per share of 42 cents to 46 cents at the time of the first quarter earnings release on April 22, 2003.
The company is currently finalizing its financial closing for the second quarter ended June 30, 2003. Results for that quarter will be announced on July 24, 2003. A conference call hosted by Benchmark management will be held at 10 a.m. CDT on July 24, 2003 ,to discuss the financial results of the company and its future outlook.
