Duraswitch Licensee ECI Screenprint Manufacturers Controls With Large Key Pushgate Technology
January 15, 2003 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
Phoenix and Thomaston, Conn. -- Duraswitch licensee ECI Screenprint has designed and manufactured control panels for a hydrogen generator application using Duraswitch's large-key PushGate switch construction.
The large-key construction allows for keys to be manufactured up to 1.5 x 2.5" using one switch element, significantly larger than the 0.5" keys found on most keyboards, and allows for uniform actuation force and feedback across over-sized buttons.
Earlier this year, Duraswitch announced that it had received U.S. Patent No. 6,392,515 covering a magnetically coupled pushbutton switch for large key applications.
ECI is a designer and manufacturer of state-of-the-art membrane switches for the telecommunications, instrument, military and consumer product markets. For more information, visit www.eciscreenprint.com.
