SMTA Issues SMTA International Call for Participation

Minneapolis -- Industry professionals are invited to submit a paper to SMTA International, held in Chicago at the Donald Stephens Convention Center in conjunction with Assembly Tech Expo, September 21 through 25, 2003.
Papers should describe significant results from experiments, emphasize new techniques, or contain technical, economic or appropriate test data. Presentation materials and papers must be original, unpublished and non-commercial in nature. All accepted submissions require the publication of a formal paper in the proceedings, as well as a verbal presentation at SMTA International. Papers are sought in the following key technology tracks:
- Assembly
- Business
- Components
- Emerging Technologies
- PCB Technology
- Process Control
Abstracts of no more than 300 words are due February 28, 2003. Papers should six to 12 pages long (including graphics). Oral presentations are limited to 30 minutes (including questions). Proposals are also solicited from individuals interested in teaching educational courses related to advanced electronics manufacturing.
As speakers, participants help to advance the industry by sharing research and findings and are recognized by industry colleagues. To reward exceptional achievement, $1,000 and a recognition plaque is given for the "Best of Conference Presentation," "Best of Proceedings Paper" and the "Best International Paper".
