Schurter to Showcase Expanded Options With Duraswitch Technologies at electronica in Munich
November 8, 2002 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
Phoenix and Lucerne, Switzerland -- At electronica 2002, Duraswitch licensee Schurter GmbH of Germany will be showcasing how its design and manufacturing capabilities, coupled with Duraswitch's unique switch technology, provide customers with new switch solutions.
Some of the technology benefits that Schurter will display (Hall B3, Booth B3.343) include:
- Indicator key illumination capabilities: Schurter has taken the inherent design of the PushGate, which allows for an indicator light to be placed directly in the center of the key verses off to the side, to create an elegant lighting option. This center key placement provides a perfect indicator of switch actuation without taking additional space on the graphic overlay. Flexing domes, and other types of tactile membrane switches do not easily allow this type of placement.
- Integration capabilities with Duraswitch technologies: thiNcoder RT, the only rotary switch integrated on a flex circuit and MagnaMouse cursor control technologies. Duraswitch technology enables multiple control types to be integrated into one sealed flat-panel allowing for greater design options and ergonomic considerations.
Held in Munich, Germany, November 12-14, electronica is the leading international summit for the electronics industry, presenting the largest range of electronic components and application-oriented assemblies anywhere in the world. The show is held every other year.
