Flextronics Announces Second Quarter Results

Singapore -- Flextronics has announced results for its second quarter and six months ended September 30, 2002.
Net sales for the quarter ended September 30, 2002 were $3.3 billion, which represents a 3 percent increase from a year ago and a 7 percent sequential increase from the prior quarter. Pro forma net income before amortization and unusual charges rose 33 percent sequentially from the prior quarter to $40 million or 8 cents per diluted share. There were no unusual charges in the quarter, and pre-tax amortization amounted to $5.9 million, or 1 cent per share, resulting in GAAP net income of $34.7 million or 7 cents per diluted share.
