APEX 2002 Technical Conference Tackles the Electronic Assembly Industry's Hottest Topics

Highlights of this year's technical conference include three mini-symposiums on optoelectronics, lead -free and test/inspection. The conference also includes two extended presentations on paste-in-hole and reworking high-density assemblies, and two half-day seminars on ball grid array (BGA) and assembly and environmentally sustainable electronics.
Boston and Westford, Mass. -- Teradyne Inc., which bills itself as the world's largest supplier of automatic test equipment, has signed a definitive agreement to purchase GenRad Inc., a manufacturer of electronic automatic test equipment and related software.
