NORTHBROOK, Ill. - The IPC's PCB book-to-bill ratio for May was 0.66, meaning $66 worth of orders for new boards were received for every $100 billed (shipped). The ratio increased from the April level of 0.63. Sales billed (shipments) in May 2001 decreased 20.6 percent below May 2000, and orders booked decreased 53.4 percent below May 2000. Compared to 2000, PCB bookings are down 47.5 percent YTD, while PCB shipments are down 10.5 percent YTD.
