Low Drop-out Voltage Regulators
December 31, 1969 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
The GMT-72XX line of micro-power low drop-out voltage regulators is designed to provide reliable and efficient solutions for mobile phones, palm computers, pagers, global positioning equipment and other portable applications. Compared to conventional LDO ICs, the new regulators are said to perform at low quiescent operating current, with significantly lower drop-out voltages. The voltage regulator family was specifically designed to operate in noise-prone, switch-mode environments. It reportedly provides enhanced LDO performance by means of an advanced proprietary design that virtually eliminates wasted ground current.
