ITL Circuits Invests in Excellon COBRA Hybrid Laser System
March 9, 2016 | ExcellonEstimated reading time: 1 minute
Excellon is proud to announce the sale of a COBRA Hybrid Laser System to ITL Circuits in Markham, Ontario. The installation is scheduled for early second quarter of this year.
The Excellon COBRA Hybrid Laser System offers the flexibility to run prototypes and production requiring UV laser, CO2 laser, or a combination of the two. The industrial diode-pumped, solid- state UV laser, and the sealed, RF-excited, super-pulsed CO2 laser offer superior performance and extended reliability.
Comments from the management team at ITL. “We chose the Excellon COBRA laser to further enhance our existing processes and capabilities for micro via technology, flex, flex-rigid and complex RF cavity board designs from our current and future customers. When it came time to select the equipment, the Excellon COBRA laser was the obvious choice as it will enable us to support this demand due to its outstanding capability and capacity”. Adolf Czudnochowsky, VP Operations and Principal added, “We are excited about this new equipment and continuing our long existing relationship with Excellon for all of our drilling needs.”
Bailey Su, President of Excellon, shares his comments: “The accuracy and flexibility of the COBRA Hybrid Laser System provides companies such as ITL Circuits the ability to respond to their customers’ requests, commercial and military, from prototype to production, where many of the applications are very high end. ITL’s decision go with the Excellon COBRA is a true testament to the performance of the system.”
