IMI Ranks Sixth Largest Automotive EMS Provider in the World

Integrated Micro-Electronics Inc. (IMI), one of the leading worldwide providers of electronics manufacturing services (EMS), ranks 6th among the top automotive EMS providers in the world based on 2015 automotive EMS revenues per electronics market research firm New Venture Research.
IMI’s ranking went up to sixth from seventh in 2015 as it posted a 9.2% increase in automotive EMS revenues based on its audited financial statement.
Engaged with nine out of the top 15 global automotive parts suppliers (based on the list of Automotive News, an automotive trade publication), IMI supplies customized solutions in driver assistance, driver and passenger safety, car security, and body controls, among others.
Arthur Tan, IMI chief executive officer, says, “As the electronic content of cars increases, our collaborative approach and extensive technical capabilities will open the door to even more opportunities with tier one suppliers in the automotive industry for the development or assembly of their products.”
IMI president and chief operating officer Gilles Bernard says, “We are very proud of this achievement as it reflects our continuous business expansion to serve the automotive market. Further, it is a testament to our deep expertise that is being recognized by our existing customers and attracting other automotive parts makers.”
IMI plants in Jiaxing (China), Botevgrad (Bulgaria), and Guadalajara (Mexico) are on expansion mode to accommodate increased business from tier one automotive parts suppliers.
